    Description

    This huge, antique, filigree 14K yellow solid gold (marked) hand-carved cameo pin or pendant depicts a Baccante maiden (cult of Dionysus or Bacchus) with grapes and leaves in her hair.  She has a grape corsage on one shoulder and a decorative stick with a bow and a pointed, textured top
    on the other shoulder
    . The pin/pendant is 2 3/8 inches high by 1 7/8 inches wide, and weighs 16.4 grams.  The exquisite frame is intricate filigree with four decorative  sections.  The bail is on a hinge, so it can be tucked behind when not used as a pendant. This beautifully carved cameo pin/pendant is in excellent condition.
