In addition to the advertised game saving function (which is not perfect, buyers intending to use it for this purpose are advised to do a little research first), this device will allow you to play Super Famicom games on a US Super Nintendo console without having to modify the console. Though this modification can be accomplished fairly easily, it requires breaking two plastic tabs off the SNES console. This device gets around that. Ships in a box.
