WWII Original "Avenge Manila" V for Victory Patriotic 1 1/4" Celluloid Pinback

Offered here is this scarce, original, WWII ,  1 1/4" celluloid pinback badge calling to "Avenge Manila". The battle of Manila left 1,010 U.S. soldiers dead and 5,565 wounded. An estimated 100,000 to 240,000 Filipinos civilians were killed, both deliberately by the Japanese in the Manila massacre and from artillery and aerial bombardment by U.S. and Japanese forces. 16,665 Japanese dead were counted within Intramuros alone.  This badge is in low excellent condition. The back shows only a couple of spots of corrosion to the aluminum(!) back, which has not discolored the face in any way. No scratches or cracks to the celluloid. Union bug embossed in center of back.
